A Great weekend

Well to start off, Leng Boon asked me and Bpin to go to uni with him on a Saturday. The first thing that came in my mind?

"lb, u must be crazy to go to uni on saturday"

but after hearing the reason, it was a great plan! so, i called kevin to join us. It was our uni's open day and the Food Science students were having an exhibition on human nutrition. It was great, I went out to yum cha with Jacy & Foong Leng after not seeing them for so long. Lots of stuff to gossip about and catch up on hehe. Other than that, I've made new friends and finally spoke to the "guga" Kell Ly. lol

Our next plan was to go cybercafe and play dota after the open day ended at 3pm. However, it suddenly rained so heavy and we were stuck in uni for another half hour. Hey, who's complaining? Lol, it meant that we had more time to spend with the girls haha! Well, I had the chance to sit in Kell Ly's new car aiseh, damn nice la. Thanks again for the ride!

Went to dota later on and then stayed for dinner. Vincent then joined us and as usual, the 4 of us would have lots to talk about. We then yum cha-ed till 12am lol talking about almost everything.

Woke up at 8am on Sunday to attend Easter mass. Argh...too....early....for...mass.....service...but nevertheless I am proud to say I could wake up lol. Happy Easter everybody!

Later on, I went over to Berjaya Times Square to attend the ACGC 2008 which stands for Animation, Comics, Games Convention. It was my 1st outing with members of my Uni's Anime Club. It was held on Saturday and Sunday 22-23 March 2008. We decided to go for the Sunday convention because there was a cosplay competition. We met up at 2pm and went straight to the 3rd floor for the convention. The venue chosen was terrible. There were so many people in such a small space. However, there were many cute and pretty girls in costumes and in normal clothes lol. We went separate ways at 1st, ky0ko went off with some of her friends to yum cha, sa-chan went straight to the front row of the stage to get a good view of the cosplay competition, gaijin suddenly disappeared, leaving Jeff, Sue Teng, KS and me to walk around aimlessly.

Remembering Kendrick's request, we went to every booth looking for name cards and sponsors. Most of the booths concentrated on promoting various online games such as Cabal Online, Granado Espada, Ran Online, and many more. I was kinda busy "washing my eyes" haha while the other 3 were looking around. My main aim was to take pictures with every cosplayer and I was kinda successful lol. There were many many cosplayers and most of them are from the anime Naruto and Bleach. There were also other cosplayers cosplaying as characters from smaller titles.

After the competition, we went to eat and because we couldn't decide where to go, gaijin decided to toss a coin where the 2 options were either McD or Old Town. Ok, McD was the result but Time Square's McD was so full so KS decided to go to Sungei Wang instead to eat. So we walked and walked and walked...KS, ky0ko, gaijin and Sa-chan walked damn fast. Sue Teng, Jeff, and I were struggling to keep up. I asked where were we going to eat but nobody knew and asked me to just follow KS. So we walked...and walked...into Sungei Wang's McD!!! omg, I was like "huh?? walk all the way to Sungei Wang to eat at McD when we could have waited in Times Square's McD!" Anyway, they said they wanted to check out some architecture books in Sungei Wang. I guess today is Jeff's lucky day. He ordered a McChicken burger but the person at the counter gave him 2 for the price of 1. Could it be an accident? or perhaps...*ahem*

Anyway, ky0ko and I didn't eat and we were spending most of the time looking at the rest eat. That lunch session was the most silent "yum cha" session I've ever experienced in my life lol. Nobody was saying anything, hmm...maybe they're all tired from walking around. ky0ko and I both nearly fell asleep haha. Later on, we went to the bookstore and then back to Times Square at 5.30pm for the cosplay competition prize giving ceremony. The prizes were RM1000 for the best cosplayer and best craftsmanship, RM500 for best props and best performance, and lastly a hamper worth RM350. After that there were mini games and freebies to be given away. The first game is to guess an anime soundtrack. They played some songs that were easy to guess but so hard to remember the track name. However, luckily gaijin managed to win a goody bag with some kinda limited stuff inside.

The second game is also a guess-the-song game. Its a little different this time as they chose 1 person to listen to the song from the headset and then go on stage and hum the melody. Another person had to guess that particular song. If they won, the prize was a pendrive. Then we tried to guess the song each time hoping to win the pendrives. Each time we recognised the song but we forgot the name or either we were too slow. However our last chance...was the song "Houki Boshi" from the anime Bleach which was sung by Younha. This is the song that Jeff always listened to but he couldn't recognize the song. He kept thinking...thinking..thinking...and it was too late. Another person answered it before him! That last song entitled the winner to get 4 limited edition pendrives! lol, we were disappointed but we had lots of fun.

Lab Reports, Assignments, Presentations, Exams

I hate doing lab reports
I hate doing assignments
I hate doing presentations
I hate Exams
Yes, I hate them so much and I hate them even more when they're all dued at the same week. Well, it's not like I have a choice anyways but I hope it'll all be over soon. In a blink of an eye, its already near the end of this semester. What does this mean? Well:
  • My last sem in UCSI is coming to its end
  • 4 months of freedom before going to UK

Sigh, so much to do yet so little time. I know this is a very common complaint and it all depends on time management. How's my time management? well... its crappy, care-free, and happy-go-lucky.

Well, I'm beginning to feel that updating my blog is very tedious (not). I'm just lazy lol. Over the weeks I've been occupying myself with studying, playing the ps2, playing dota almost every night, lab report-ing, and of course, animes and more animes.

Mum and bro are both coming over to Kay-Elle in May. Yippieeee...that means I'll have more kaki to help me pack my stuff to bring home to Kay-Kay, and then over to UK. Actually I miss my mum bah aiseh. XD

Over the 2 weeks I've been hanging out with Bpin and LB. Played badminton with them and found out that these 2 fellas also girl-crazy. Finally got kaki to talk and "muk" girls adi lol. Thanks guys for teman me to go Giant and "buy maggie mee" or was it "muk" girl? haha!

I just borrowed a guitar from Rachel about 3 weeks ago and I've been playing it everytime I have the chance. It's so nostalgic to be strumming and plucking the wooden thing again! Thanks so much Jen-sen for making me not study LOL (all your "hey check out this song man, it's damn uber awesome" everyday has a hypnotising effect).

Last week, Uncle and his family went to Bali for holiday. They happened to go during election. So my sis and I were given the warning to "not go out" during election, except for going to church. Why? well, there might be riots and protests going on around the city. If you're wondering, no...I did not vote. I didn't even register lol! I stayed up on Saturday to follow up with the post-election news. It was pretty 'gan chiong' and expected I guess. Thank God I had my sis with me or else it'll be maggie, maggie, and more maggie for dinner.

Brought the kids to catch a movie this weekend. Watched 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' and I personally found it nice. Very interesting plot. Initially I wanted to bring them to watch 'Ah Long pte ltd' but it's an 18PL movie. Strange...I wonder why is it 18PL? Oh btw, that's because my uncle has 4 free tickets for that movie lol.

Just a reminder for myself, 2nd draft for my finals are out:

  • 10th April (10.00am) - Pharmacology 1
  • 14th April (2.30pm) - Molecular Cell Biology
  • 15th April (2.30pm) - Microbial Biotechnology

Its time to put in more effort guys! All the best, and no lazy pls. okthxbye.
