I can't wait to go back to kay-kay for CNY! Gambling, house-raiding(visit), Ang Pao collecting, and everything else. Great time to catch up with family, relative, and friends too. I'm going back on the 5th of Feb just in time for the New Year eve's reunion dinner. Cool...that's like only 2 days away hehe.
Had a small pre-CNY dinner last night with uncle Vince and his family. Ate mum's "kiu nyuk" which has been left in the fridge for almost 1 year haha. Amazing that it still taste so good. Oh for your information, "kiu nyuk" is a Hakka cuisine.
"Kiu nyuk" (扣肉, sliced pork with preserved mustard greens): thick slices of pork belly, with a layer of preserved mustard greens between each slice, are cooked and served in a dark sauce made up of soy sauce and sugar.
CNY holiday has "unofficially" started as we had a test on Thursday(31st Jan) and the next day was a public holiday (Federal Territory Day). Of course this is followed by a weekend and yeah, you get the picture. HOWEVER... I still have class on Monday and Tuesday! Not only that, I've got tutorial questions that need to be handed up on the 5th of Feb...damn, this means I can't skip both classes =.=" (MCB is really MCB) (hint: MCB= molecular cell biology. the other MCB is well....you guess!)
Re-installed Heroes of Might and Magic V (HoMM5) again. Finally had the chance to sit down and play through every campaign. It does bear similiarity to HoMM3 but its so much harder. Wasted many hours playing this. Better start studying instead. LoL! XD
